Nicaragua has become a beacon for real estate investment. The tropical seaside communities of Nicaragua have become the "Must Have" locations for foreign investors that know the value of ocean front property in an emerging country. This similar opportunity was offered to real estate savvy investors in Costa Rica 20 years ago.
The U.S. Embassy has made land reform a priority with their relations with the Nicaraguan government. This is due in part on the large number of Americans that are looking to live outside of the states. Time Magazine recently reported: "Many of the 76 million American Boomers are more likely than their parents to consider retiring to a foreign land, because they have traveled more, have higher hopes for retirement, and tend to be more active and adventuresome." This means that the seaside communities in Nicaragua that are currently available will not be for long.
