Nicaragua is now considered the "Tourism Hotspot". Due to its dramatic tropical landscape, embracing culture, inexpensive investment opportunities, easy accessibility, and rank as Central America's safest city by INTERPOL, tourism has flourished, generating up to $190 million from visitors annually and increasing the number of international travelers by 17% in 2006 to nearly 615,000.
Nicaragua has also enacted an aggressive tourist-incentive law - Law 306. Under this law, any qualifying tourist-related business pays no income or real estate taxes for 10 years. Any supplies needed for the business can also be purchased tax-free.
Its unspoiled character, beautiful beaches, active volcanoes, lush rainforest, lakes, rivers, and Spanish colonial cites make Nicaragua a "Must See" destination.
